Can someone tell me of a good PDA to use in healthcare field?
I am a nursing student and will be going through my second round of clinicals. I think having my drug book, i.v. drug book, and things of the like on a pda would be most helpful. I ordered a palm t/x and loved the big touch screen, however i had trouble syncing the software that i dropped $150 for. Anyways, since i ordered the palm through circuit city on-line I took it in to my local circuit city store in which they could do nothing. i was told the issue was with the palm itself. The guy told me that a windows platform would probably be more user friendly. All in all i just want my books handy on some sort of pda. If anyone has had wonderful experiences with theirs, could you please tell me what device you use and what software it uses and where you bought the software from. Thank ya!
You should be able to sync the Palm with your computer provided you’ve got XP OS. Vista can get touchy depending on the Vista flavor. Try rolling back Vista to XP virtual machine.
As far as nursing goes, there are some great software for the Palm platform. I’m fixing my friend’s Father’s Zire 71 right now and he’s got
Epocrates on it and I’ve been playing around with it and it’s facinating:

I think you can try downloading and try the software prior to purchase.
