I need business pda software!?
I need software to go on a pda that is for field based engineers. They will collect data of equipment on customers sites, process what they have done to it, gain a customer signature on summary of the job and then this will be used to invoice the customer. Any suggestions on software or companies to try please?
Your big problem is how will they get the Signature ?
Some sort of electronic ‘writing pad’ ??
(this may be possible = eg similar to the PDA’s used by the Postman for ’signed for’ mail = however I doubt it will in any way be legally binding)
or will the engineers be issued with some sort of portable printers ??
(so the doc. can be printed out = I once saw a Laptop with integrated printer from Canon .. I’ve no idea if theses are still available) ???
I suggest a bit of research on Google .. and perhaps try to find out what other businesses do in your industry ..
