I told my computer not to search for new hardware when trying to install my PDA, how do I change it back?
Now I can’t get it to recognize the port the PDA is attached. How do I make it find the hardware so I can get the hotsync to work?
Right click on My Computer, select properties
click the hardware tab, then click device manager
Your palm device will show up as either some USB device, unknown device, or it will say palm device, and it will have a yellow exclamation mark through it. Double click it, click re-install driver.
if the drivers are already loaded, windows will automatically install them if you select automatic install, or if you need the CD, just put it in the drive when it asks if you want to do a manual install or automatic.
