Is Palm developing any new PDA model upgrades to the current LifeDrive and Tungsten T|X PDAs?
I currently own a Palm Tungsten T3 PDA. I’ve had the PDA for over three years now and have been very happy with it. However, with all of the new PDA software being developed, it will be inevitable for me to obtain a replacement model with upgrade OS and memory capabilities for handling the new software. I’m looking @ the Tungsten T|X; however, I don’t want to purchase the T|X if Palm is developing any newer PDA models for release soon. Back in 2002 when I purchased the T3, Palm released the Tungsten T5 several months later. And within a year, they released the T|X. I want to avoid making the same mistake. Thanx.

Ummmmm, Palm still uses Palm OS 5. I’ve heard that the newest releases are just to support newer PDA motherboards. The main thing newer for the T3 is the replacement status bars to prevent crashes. I don’t know about any newer versions of the T|X and LifeDrive, but their prices have been going down, so it’s likely new ones will be around.
I have a T|X, and i think you’d only need to upgrade if you want to run processor straining programs (Such as LJP). If not, just get more SD cards. They’re dirt cheap nowadays. If WiFi is what you’re after, you can buy a WiFi SDIO card if they still make them, or you can buy a T|X.
