Is O2 atom PDA any good ? Will you recommend it ?
The O2 Atom is a decent middle-of-the road newer HTC based phone. The current prices for it are sky high, and unfortunately it’s performance specs don’t make it worth the money. The 2.0 megapixel camera is EXTREMELY muddy in medium to low light. Edge support is great, unfortunately if you plan to use it for email, or chat, the lack of a keyboard is a serious pain in the keister. Wireless LAN is great, but the drain on the battery is sometihng to think about. Windows Mobile 5 is still VERY fresh, with lots of issues/bugs. The final nail in the coffin is, if you’re inside the united states, you’ll really only have access to two of the three bands the phone offers. If I were you, I’d wait for HTC’s next wave of phones (Muse, most notably) Other options to consider are Sony Ericsson’s W810, or an unlocked cingular 8125 if you’re desperate. (I’d wait, if you can.) Hope this helps.
