Orange introduced a variant of the HTC TyTN, but in many ways the orange seems to be a better looking phone. In a market of the ultra thin models this phone might look a little on the fat side but it still looks modern and stylish. This Orange mobile phone could also be called a work station on the move as it has the features of a smart phone.
Hand set
The black and silver look adds to its stylish look. The main case is black in color with an almost pebble-like finish and the silver screen has a brushed silver effect. In spite the fact that there are a plethora of buttons all over the M3100, It does not look cluttered. It has a slightly different button layout although the functionality is the same. It has the standard answer / drop call buttons, joypad soft-keys and a two very useful shortcut buttons at the bottom of the device. At the top of the device also there are some buttons one for messaging and the other for internet explorer. The buttons at the top will need some time getting used to. Beside that there is also a face-pointing camera for 3G calls. There is a scroll wheel on the left side for rapid access to the menu and contacts.
Display and keyboard
The display itself measures 2.8in and has a standard PDA resolution of 240 x 320. This orange mobile phone is bright and vibrant. Under the screen is the keyboard which takes up 80% of the width. The keyboard also has a number of shortcuts which are highlighted in blue. There is a light sensor which turns the backlight on for the key pad. This illuminates the keypad in light blue color.
Technology
This 3G device supports HSDPA for download speeds up to 1.8Mbit/sec. There is also the integrated 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth incorporated into the device. This will enable the user to use VoIP services. This orange mobile phone has a 2 mega pixel camera and mp3 player has been added for entertainment during business. It has a battery life of 8 hours talk time and 16 days standby time.
